2007.06.12 Nokia Siemens Networks: Nokia Siemens Networks strikes IMS deal with Swedish operator Com Hem

Com Hem, a fast-growing telecom operator in Sweden, has selected Nokia Siemens Networks’ IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) solution in order to enhance its telephony service. IMS is the new network architecture that enables richer communications based on the Internet Protocol (IP). Under the agreement, Nokia Siemens Networks will supply and integrate a complete IMS Core solution; an ENUM server solution for translating telephone numbers into IP addresses for use by Internet users; and other functionalities to enhance Com Hem’s existing Voice over IP service based on the Siemens SURPASS hiQ VoIP application server. To carry out the smooth deployment of the solutions, Nokia Siemens Networks is also providing comprehensive systems integration and maintenance services.
