Hesjedal will be replacing Kjell Nordbe who has been appointed CTO in Telenor Pakistan after having served Kyivstar for the past four and a half years. Johnny Tangen will take over Hesjedal's responsibilities until permanent replacement is decided.

Oddvar Hesjedal (54) is educated Master of Science in Information from the University of Oslo. He started his career in the Telenor Group approximately 10 years ago and has held various leading positions, such as Chief Information Officer, Director of Research and Development and Head of Corporate Strategy. Hesjedal comes from the position as Senior Vice President in International Mobile.

"I see it as a very exciting challenge to take part in the tremendous expansions of Kyivstar, a company that is growing in customer numbers at a very high speed and is sustaining a high market share in Ukraine.
