Alexey Reznikovich, the CEO of Russian company Altimo, which has 13.2% shares of Turkcell, said that when the performance of Turkcell investments within the first several months were considered it was estimated that an 15-20% increase in the value of shares were satisfactory and that they were pleased with their investments.
Speaking at a press conference with Russian company’s Deputy Chairman Kirill Babaev, Alexey Reznikovich said that the company which is focused on the Telecommunication sector made activities in Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and in former Soviet countries, adding that the total of investment portfolio reached USD 9 billion.

Reznikovich stated that Altimo had the shares of key telecom operators in Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, adding that it had shares of mobile telecom operators which are the first in Turkey and Ukraine, and first and third in Russia. Alexey Reznikovich replied questions, commenting on buying more shares in Turkcell or selling the shares and said, ``We aren’t thinking to buy more shares from Turkcell because we’re pleased with our current fiscal position. We have a risk distribution portfolio in our own accounts. We’ve distributed our portfolio between Turkey, Russia and Ukraine in a balanced way.`

` Stressing that they were a new investor in Turkcell, Reznikovich stated that the value of the shares they invested last November increased in the recent months. Reznikovich said, `This is very positive for our performance. We believe that this positive trend will continue and the value of the shares will continue to increase. Therefore, as long as this trend continues, we won’t want to sell our shares`

` Asked whether they would buy the shares if one of Turkcell partners quit partnership, Reznikovich said that, ``I don’t want to comment on such a speculation. We believe that this structure will continue, and all partners will continue to trust in the growth of Turkcell. We’re not interested to buy more share at the moment`

` Stressing that the companies could have different expectations about the return of the investment, Reznikovich said, ``When we look at the performance in the first several months, we see that the value of the shares increased 15-20%. This is satisfactory for us, and a pleasing result. In addition, we see that the potential is very high in Turkey. We’re happy with our investments.
