Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) announces new President

January 28, 2015, press-release via MForum.ru: The GSA is pleased to announce that Joe Barrett has been appointed as the new President of GSA with effect from February 1, 2015.

Joe has been a prominent participant and supporter of GSA since 1999 and represented both Nokia Networks and Qualcomm on the Executive Committee. Alan Hadden, who has been President since the GSA was established in 1998, will ensure continuity and focus his time for GSA in the new role of Vice President, Research, thus continuing to produce the highly-valued industry reports, information papers and data analysis that GSA is well known for.

"Joe has a great deal of knowledge and experience in mobile communications and has served twice on the GSA Executive Committee", said Patrik Cerwall, VP of GSA and Ericsson's GSA representative. "The whole of the Executive Committee and GSA members would like to welcome Joe to the role of President and wishes him every success as the GSA considers new areas of wireless growth".

GSA has over 66,000 registered website users and tens of thousands of followers on social media who have come to rely on our reports and data. The Executive Committee expects users and their requirements to increase in the future".

The transition will enable Alan Hadden to reduce the amount of time he spends on GSA activities.

Joe and Alan will be attending Mobile World Congress, 2nd to 5th March 2015 and are happy to meet with existing and potential new members to discuss GSA strategy and activities.
