Systemics-PAB performed an independent network & service quality benchmarking test for Beeline, Megafon and MTS operators inside MKAD ring road. The research was initiated by an international supplier of end-user equipment* and conducted on November 28th – December 8th.

The measurements were conducted using Diversity Benchmarker, a high-end modular systems manufactured by SwissQual AG, equipped with Nokia C5 phones, Sierra Wireless AirCard 503 modems and PCTel Seegull EX scanners. SwissQual Diversity Benchmarker has been especially designed to endure through extreme QoE and QoS benchmarking tests in demanding environment. Measurement systems installed in 7 vehicles spent 10 days conducting detailed simultaneous radio, voice and data transfer tests.

“The research held in Moscow by Systemics-PAB is unprecedentedly large-scale. Such a complex benchmarking measurements on the whole territory of Moscow were conducted for the first time, since all previous researchers had been restricted to limited parts of the city. Systemics-PAB specialists included not only the Moscow highways but also the small streets of the Russian capital”, said Mr. Pawe Biskupski, CEO Systemics-PAB. “The results clearly demonstrate high technological level of 3G networks of Beeline, Megafon and MTS operators”.

More than 32,000 voice calls and 14,000 data connections were made during testing, 15 main parameters of Beeline, Megafon and MTS 3G networks were evaluated. The final research report summary (available on www.syspab.eu/prasa.html) covers selected 3G network KPIs including: Voice Cut-off Call Ratio, Voice Service Non-Accessibility, Voice Service Access Time, FTP Mean User Data Rate, FTP IP-Service Access Time and Data Transfer Cut-Off Ratio.
